System changes in the USA online service
Due to a system change in the USA online service, it will not be possible to make payments or book appointments between October 23 and 25, 2024.
The online service should be available again as normal from October 26, 2024.
Changed processing times in Berlin
The CVAC in Berlin informs that processing times are currently longer.
Regular processing takes 6-7 working days and express processing takes 3-4 working days.
If an appointment has to be made, an additional 2 days lead time is required.
ETA for citizens of Mexico
Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) requirements for nationals of Mexico changed on February 29, 2024.
Travelers who received an ETA before 11:30 p.m. ET on February 29, 2024 will no longer be able to use it because it has been canceled. They will need to apply for a new ETA unless they also have a valid work or study permit.
ETA for citizens of Jordan
Jordanian nationals are no longer allowed to apply for an eTA. Instead, a regular passport visa must be applied for. Holders of a valid eTA who are Jordanian citizens may enter the country until October 8, 2024, 3pm (UK time). A visa is mandatory for subsequent travels.
Health certificate when entering Nigeria
Due to an outbreak of Mpox viruses in Central Africa (monkeypox), the Nigerian health authorities have required the submission of a health declaration form (Health Declaration Form) upon entry into Nigeria since August 11, 2024. This is filled out and sent online before departure to enable you to enter Nigeria quickly on arrival.
If you do not have internet access, the health declaration form can be completed on site in paper form.
In this case, please allow extra time for entry due to waiting times.

Changes in the application process for China visas
The Chinese consulates have announced extensive changes to the visa application process for 26.08.2024. However, details of the upcoming changes have not yet been communicated. As far as is known, visa applications that were created before 26.08.2024 will no longer be accepted for application.
We therefore recommend that you currently only send us applications whose complete processing is guaranteed up to and including 23.08.2024.
We will of course keep you up to date.
Visa Center China in Düsseldorf
Effective immediately, the CVAC in Düsseldorf is no longer responsible for China visas and will be closed. All applicants who have previously submitted their application in Düsseldorf must now submit their documents via the consulate in Frankfurt.

Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) mandatory from 1 August 2024
The Israeli government has announced that from August 1, 2024, prior digital entry confirmation via the electronic system "ETA-IL" will be mandatory for visa-free entry to Israel. Airlines are expected to check for this confirmation before departure in order to prevent subsequent refusal of entry.
This entry permit will therefore only be mandatory for nationalities that can enter the country without a visa - including German citizens. Nationalities that previously required a visa cannot use this digital service and must continue to apply for a regular visa via the embassy instead.
BUSINESS VISUM will be happy to assist you in applying for this new entry permit.
Partial visa-free entry for additional countries
For business activities, tourism, visits to family and friends, and transit, certain nationals can enter the country for up to 15 days without a prior visa from July 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025.
The following countries have now been added to the already known ones:
New Zealand, Australia, and Poland
Visa-free entry for 78 nationalities
German citizens, as well as other 78 nationalities worldwide, have been exempt from the visa requirement for Malawi since February 7, 2024.
This applies to both tourist and business travel purposes.
