Russian visa center in Frankfurt will close from November 15, 2023 until further

Due to the current economic and geopolitical situation, the work of the Russian visa center Artionis Germany GmbH in Frankfurt am Main will be temporarily suspended until further notice.
Visa applications will be accepted for processing until November 15, 2023.

Introduction of the ETA procedure for the UK

Similar to the ESTA process for USA, Great Britain will gradually introduce an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) from October 25, 2023 for people who were previously able to enter the UK without a visa.

ESTA Hungarian citizens

Effective August 1, 2023, DHS reduced the ESTA validity period for travel by Hungarian citizens and nationals under the VWP from two years from the date of issuance to one year and also limited the validity of an ESTA for Hungarian nationals to one-time use. This reduction in ESTA validity will only affect new ESTA applications received after the Effective Date and is not retroactive. Hungarian citizens and nationals who received an approved ESTA before August 1, 2023 are not affected.

Entry requirements

The representation in Germany cannot issue a visa in advance. Entry must then take place via Tel Aviv, but it is up to the local authorities to decide whether onward travel to the Palestinian territories is actually allowed.

In any case, German companies want to get in touch with their business partner in Palestine and clarify the entry formalities with them.

Unfortunately, Business Visum GmbH cannot support you with the visa.

Multiple entry possible for business visas

All nationals who are eligible for the simplified visa procedure can now also apply for a multiple business visa. The prerequisite for this is that this is also noted in the "Certificate for Completion of Registration to the ERFS System". In addition, a form (Request for a multiple entry visa) must be filled out, which we make available to you in the download area in the country information.

Documents that have already been submitted cannot be changed later. So please make sure that you have all the necessary documents for a multiple visa before Business Visum submits them to the consulate.

Changed visa regulations

Business visas can now be applied for again by presenting a business letter invitation. It is no longer necessary to present a PU invitation.

Visas are still only issued for single entry. The issuing of tourist visas is still suspended.

Current entry information

Currently, a tourist card can also be used to travel to Cuba for business talks, meetings and customer consulting. This does not apply to technical assignments.

For everything else, the local business partner applies for a permit at the "Immigration office". They check everything on site, issue a permit and send it to the embassy. The embassy receives the documents from Business Visum and issues the visa within 1-3 days.

Only e-visas in Munich for many nationalities

At the moment, the Indian Consulate General in Munich does not issue passport visas for German citizens or those nationalities who qualify for an e-Visa.

04.10.2021 Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Passport required for entry since October 1st, 2021

From now on, travelers will need a passport when entering the UK. Entry with an identity card is no longer possible since October 1st, 2021. Furthermore, despite BREXIT, there is a social insurance agreement with the Federal Republic of Germany, so an A1 is still required for business trips to Great Britain. The so-called EU registration certificate requirement, however, does not apply.
